Prefer to work without audio cues? Our new Silent Protocol feature allows you to focus solely on your work. Ascenscia will visually highlight each protocol step without narrating it, creating a quiet environment. To activate this feature, go to Settings -> Voice -> Silent Protocol.

Complementing this, we’ve introduced a refreshed protocol UI, which highlights critical details like volumes, timers, and temperatures. This ensures that key information is always visible at a glance, helping you stay on track during complex workflows.

Smarter Timers

Time management is non-negotiable in labs, and our latest updates reflect that. Timers are now smarter and more intuitive:

• Step-specific timers: When a protocol step includes a specified duration (e.g., "Incubate cells for 3 hours"), Ascenscia will automatically ask if you want to activate a timer for that duration. Alternatively, you can manually set the timer by clicking on the duration in the protocol step.
• Hours-display: Timers now display in hours to better align with extended protocols.
• IOS TimersiOS users, the glitch causing timers to reset after losing internet connection has been resolved.

Clearer Protocol Narration

Because details matter, we have fine-tuned how unit abbreviations are pronounced in protocol steps, enhancing clarity and reducing errors during lab workflows.
